What thickness should I choose for my acoustic panels?

Panel thickness plays a crucial role in performance, depending on the type and level of noise you want to treat. For example:

• 1" thick panels: These panels are ideal for spaces where the main goal is to reduce human speech or conversational noise. They are very effective at absorbing mid and high frequencies typically associated with voices. However, if you are dealing with lower-frequency sounds such as music or bass noise, these panels may not be sufficient.
• 2" thick panels: For environments with a wide range of sound frequencies (such as music studios or home theaters), thicker panels are more suitable. They are capable of absorbing a broader frequency spectrum, including low frequencies that can otherwise cause unwanted resonance.

 

Where should acoustic panels be installed?

The placement of acoustic wall panels largely depends on the type of room and the source of the noise. In a music room or recording studio, panels should be positioned to capture sound reflections coming from speakers while taking listener placement into account. In spaces such as offices or restaurants, it is recommended to distribute panels evenly across walls and ceilings to ensure balanced and comfortable acoustics for all occupants.

Depending on usage, adjusting the height of the panels may be beneficial. For example, in a classroom where students are seated, placing panels lower on the walls can be effective. How is my order shipped?

Standard-size acoustic wall panels (23" x 47" or smaller) are packaged in boxes and shipped via delivery services such as UPS, Purolator, or similar carriers. Larger panels (47" x 47" or larger) are carefully packed on a pallet and shipped via LTL freight carriers to ensure safe transportation.
